Hello Shufflers! Most all events are fun, and go very smoothly, always starting a bit later than was promoted, and I think most players are used to this tiny issue. There are still some other issues that could and should be addressed pertaining to our sport here on this website because no one talks serious issues at an event. There is some cursing and complaining, but nothing that the event staff (callers) can't resolve on the spot. I will throw one suggestion out and see what happens. I think that every player at all events should be charged an extra $5 fee to go to the host to see that new wax is provided for the event. I have talked with many players that say the boards are ok but the wax isn't worth a darn. If the host is also a player and knows that they have enough new (good) wax for another event or two, they could and should wave the extra $5 wax fee until needed again. We do help the hosts by purchasing food and drink while we are there, but remember that they supply the Plaques or Trophys. Also, if there was no hosted event to enter we would be somewhere else sliding weights, and buying food and drinks. When we are playing we don't do much but shoot and have fun, and I would like to see it stay that way, so if you have any questions, comments, complaints or issues, please, let's work them out here on this website format and not just continue to put things off.
